Clients are encouraged to inspect their jewelry upon purchase. Completion of the purchase confirms that the item has been received in satisfactory condition and corresponds to the description provided at the time of sale.

Terms & Conditions
At Papaya Room, each piece is carefully selected or created with attention to craftsmanship, quality and individuality. By completing a purchase, the client acknowledges and agrees to the following terms:
Exchanges, Returns & Refunds
Eligible items may be exchanged, or returned within 1 business day of purchase, provided they are unworn, unused and in their original condition and packaging, accompanied by the original receipt.
Where a refund is approved, it will be processed through the original method of payment.
Bespoke, Customized & Personalized Pieces
Bespoke, made-to-order, personalized, engraved, resized or altered pieces are considered final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged.
Deposits paid toward bespoke or custom orders are non-refundable once sourcing, production or customization has commenced.
Natural Gemstones & Pearls
Papaya Room works with natural gemstones, pearls and other natural materials. Variations in color, tone, shape, texture, inclusions and surface characteristics are inherent to natural materials and contribute to the individuality of each piece. Such natural characteristics are not considered defects.
Where applicable, gemstone treatments, origin or certification information available to Papaya Room will be disclosed as part of the product description or accompanying documentation.
Bespoke & Made to Order Policy
Papaya Room offers bespoke design created individually for each client. Due to the personalized nature of this service, the following conditions apply:
Deposit
A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm a bespoke or made-to-order commission and begin sourcing and/or production. The remaining balance is payable upon completion and prior to delivery or collection.
For orders involving high-value gemstones or materials sourced specifically for the client, Papaya Room may require the full cost of the gemstone or material to be paid in advance.
Design Approval
The client will be provided with the relevant design details, specifications and/or stone selection for approval before production.
Once the design has been approved and production has commenced, significant changes may be subject to additional charges and may affect the estimated completion date.
Gemstones & Pearls
Natural gemstones and pearls are individually selected for each piece. Variations in color, tone, shape, inclusions, texture and surface characteristics are inherent to natural materials and contribute to the uniqueness of each piece. Such natural characteristics are not considered defects.
Production Time
Estimated production times will be communicated when the order is confirmed. As each piece is individually made, completion dates are estimates and may vary depending on gemstone sourcing, craftsmanship and the complexity of the design.
Cancellation
Once sourcing, customization or production has commenced, bespoke and made-to-order orders cannot be cancelled and deposits are non-refundable.
Returns & Exchanges
Bespoke, made-to-order, personalized, engraved, resized or specially altered pieces are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged.
Final Balance & Delivery
The outstanding balance will be settled in full before the finished piece is released, delivered or collected.
Craftsmanship
Each bespoke piece is individually crafted. Minor variations associated with hand-finishing and traditional jewelry-making techniques are part of the character and individuality of a handcrafted piece and are not considered manufacturing defects.
Order Confirmation
Payment of the deposit constitutes confirmation of the order and acceptance of Papaya Room’s Bespoke & Made-to-Order Terms & Conditions.
